Message from Cerebral
Palsy of NJ:
9yr old Melody attends our Horizon School. While
her independence would increase dramatically by using a wheelchair,
she doesn't have the upper-body strength to use a manual one.
She can use a power wheelchair, but her mom’s insurer will
only cover 2/3 of the cost, leaving her mother with thousands
more to pay. To help, we turned to our friends at Fight4Mike –
a New Jersey nonprofit dedicated to providing assistance to children
with cerebral palsy. Fight4Mike responded with a $1,500 grant
to help Melody and her mom pay for the wheelchair. From Melody
